Hydra's Last Head is an immersive media and visual world-building ecosystem by Toronto-based designer Shane Ray Walker. Currently seeking full-time roles in Design and Research & Development (R&D) to build next-generation hardware, software, and spatial computing experiences.
Hydra's Last Head conjures rare, complex, surreal, psychedelic, and alien music and visual art forms using a range of technologies and techniques.
The music of Hydra's Last Head combines experimental forms, synthesizing post-industrial, IDM/ambient/electronica, progressive metal, post-rock, jazz and classical, using virtual instruments, field recordings, analog emulations, and experimental composition techniques such as improvisation, chance, automatic writing, altered states of consciousness to create otherworldly sonic soundscapes of beauty and terror.

The visual art forms are created from a photo, hand-drawn or txt2img prompts, and public domain classic art then further processed with A.I neural networks style transfer algorithms to render a range of different aesthetics, both brand new and from across art history and then synthesized into unique aesthetic alchemies using composite image editing for complex patterns, textures, and colour composition.
Influences beyond the arts include game theory, chaos theory, biomimicry , information theory, fractals, ontology & philosophy, psychology & neuroscience, physics and cosmology.
